AWS Community Day Nordics is a community-organized event featuring technical and strategic discussions led by expert AWS users, customers and partners from throughout the Northern Europe.

The event is a full day event covering several interesting topics presented with real-world cases. Topics also cover wide variety of interests and technical levels, so everyone should have interesting day from the scheduled offering.

This AWS Community Day Nordics event is organized by the Community Leads of Nordic AWS user groups. The main organizers this year are:

Rolf Koski

Rolf is a Cloud Advisor and Evangelist. He is AWS Partner Ambassador and one of the leaders of AWS User Group Finland. He is mainly concentrating on strategy and governance advisory for enterprises utilizing public cloud services. He is a certified AWS Professional Architect.

Marcia Villalba

Marcia is a full stack developer originally from Uruguay living now in Finland. She is AWS Community Hero and one of the leaders of AWS User Group Finland. She also advocates in different organizations as a volunteer to increase the number of women in IT.

Martin Buberl

Trustpilot - VP of Engineering

Martin is a cloud-obsessed, software engineering thought leader bringing the New York hustle to Scandinavia. At Trustpilot he’s enthusiastic about focusing on impact, delivering value and iteration speed. He’s a co-organizer of the AWS User Group in Copenhagen and mentors early-stage Startups at Venture Cup.

Pasi Niemi

Nitor - Principal Cloud Architect

Pasi is a seasoned senior architect with skills to transform business requirements into technical features. He has also guided multiple times his team through AWS ReInvent hackathons to the podium.

Originally from St Petersburg, Uri is a passionate IT architect with knowledge of modern technologies combined with a rich experience of their deployment.

Kimmo Kantojärvi

Solita - Data Architect

Kimmo has 15 years experience in data intensive solution architectures and projects. Last few years he has focused especially on AWS and has professional certification. He is also coordinating Solita’s AWS partnership in technical matters together with AWS personnel.  

Roope Parviainen

Solita - Data Architect

Roope works at Solita as a Data Architect in team specialized in Industrial Internet of Things. He has background in software development and traditional Data Warehousing. At the moment Roope works with modern data and information management platforms with Finnish top companies where the focus is building services around IoT to support generating new businesses.

Maaret Pyhäjärvi

F-Secure - Lead Quality Engineer

Maaret is a results-oriented software development professional with a focus on testing - the skill to acquire relevant on-time information about the product.

Priyanka Udharamani

Futurice - Senior Data Scientist

Saku comes from developer bacground and currenlty works as Cloud Architect. His experience is from the both sides of the table, workin as a consultant and also as an architect for his employees own services.

Dazzle Rocks - Senior Software Developer

Alexander has background in mobile gaming and now part of mobile gaming startup, driven by the burning desire to make meaningful and social gaming experiences for the global audience.

Gonçalo Marques Pestana

Petteri Linden

Petteri has almost 20 years of experience on software development and leading software development projects. He has also consultancy background on various projects such as developing BI-reporting and creating new services and processes related to the occupational health and employee work ability management.

A: AWS expects all Community Day participants (attendees, staff, speakers, sponsors, etc.) to behave in such a way as to create a safe, supportive learning environment while at the conference and any conference-related events.
